The BRAVE Combat Federation Flyweight division continues to heat up, and BRAVE CF 96 will host a pivotal showdown between two fast-rising contenders—Georgia’s Bidzina Gavashelishvili and Brazil’s Marciano Ferreira—as both look to solidify their place among the elite and potentially challenge Muhammad Mokaev, one of the most talked-about names in the division.
“This is an unofficial tournament going on to determine the world’s best Flyweight,” said BRAVE CF president Mohammad Shahid, emphasizing the stakes that continue to rise in what is shaping up to be the promotion’s most competitive weight class.
Bidzina has proven himself a force to be reckoned with inside the BRAVE CF cage. His unanimous decision win over Muhammad Idrisov turned heads, and he followed it up with another standout performance at BRAVE CF 84, defeating Kazakhstan’s Erasyl Shukataev to build momentum as one of the division’s most relentless grapplers. “I know I’m the number one — not just in BRAVE, but in the world,” said a confident Bidzina ahead of the fight.
On the other side is Marciano Ferreira, who exploded onto the scene at BRAVE CF 78, delivering a stunning knockout of Edilceu Alves. Now, the Brazilian sees Bidzina as the next step in his march toward the belt. “I’m ready for this fight,” Marciano said. “I’m gonna knock my opponent out, and the next fight, I’ll fight for the belt.”
Their clash in Ljubljana, Slovenia is more than just another fight—it’s a critical moment in BRAVE CF’s evolving Flyweight landscape. With both fighters eyeing the top, this bout could determine who gets closer to a high-stakes showdown with Mokaev.
