BRAVE CF 88 was not just a historic night for Slovenian and European MMA, but also a huge moment for the Heavyweight division of the most global organization in the world. Outside of Pavel Dailidko being crowned the first-ever BRAVE CF Heavyweight champion of the world, BRAVE CF 88 also featured a coming out party for Miha Frlic.
The Slovenian Heavyweight needed only 37 seconds to definitively announce himself to the world, and he did so in style, completely overwhelming Samuele Di Guardo for the early TKO victory. It was a great victory against arguably the top Heavyweight in Italy, and the manner with which Miha took care of the biggest challenge of his career made it even more impressive.
Miha Frlic has had an illustrious amateur career, winning bronze in the IMMAF World Cup in 2021, while representing Slovenia, and kicked off his pro career with a draw at BRAVE CF 70. However, after taking a step back and slowly building his confidence in the regional circuit, Frlic came back to the world stage a changed fighter.
In the best physical shape of his career, coming in over 2kg lighter than usual, but preserving his strength, Miha Frlic showcased a lot of new dimensions to his game in the mere 37 seconds he was in action. More aggressive, more aware of his speed and strength, he put on a clinical performance on the biggest stage of his young career, setting himself up for even higher flights in the Heavyweight division.
At BRAVE CF 88, in Slovenia, the present and the future of the Heavyweight division were presented to the general audience, and Miha Frlic will be eager to show he’s already the present in his next outing, as the hunt begins to find out who will be Pavel Dailidko’s first challenger. The new big man of BRAVE CF is certainly one of the front runners now.
