“I HEAR YOU’VE NEVER BEEN FINISHED - I’M READY TO BE THE ONE TO DO THAT”

There’s a cold calm to Muhammad ‘The Punisher’ Mokaev ahead of his world title clash at BRAVE CF 100. This is the kind that suggests he already knows how this story ends.

On Friday, November 7, Mokaev will meet Gerard Burns for the vacant BRAVE CF Flyweight World Championship in what is expected to be one of the most anticipated bouts of the year. It’s the biggest fight of Mokaev’s professional career - and the one that could finally crown the undefeated prodigy as world champion.

But beneath the calm exterior lies a ruthless competitor, one who’s not content with simply adding another win to his record. “Everyone knows I can win,” Mokaev said during BRAVE CF Media Day. “Now, people are interested in how I win.”

For a man who’s never tasted defeat with 37 wins across amateur and professional competition, there’s little left to prove, yet everything left to conquer. Mokaev has built a reputation as one of MMA’s most disciplined and dangerous young talents. But now, his focus is singular - making a statement.

“Hey Gerard, I’m waiting for you in Bahrain,” Mokaev warned. “I hear you’ve never been finished. I’m ready to be the one to do that.”

That’s not just a message - it’s a promise.

Born in Dagestan and forged in England’s elite gyms, Mokaev has carried himself like a man born for the spotlight. While Burns prepares for the biggest opportunity of his life, Mokaev is treating it like business as usual - a test, but not a threat.

“They’re focused on me,” he said. “And I’m thinking about the whole division.”

That subtle jab says it all: Mokaev isn’t worried about Burns. He’s already looking beyond him, to the rest of the flyweight division that will soon have to deal with ‘The Punisher’ as their new ruler.

Critics might call that arrogance, but Mokaev calls it perspective. There’s an edge to the way he talks about the fight. Asked what he thinks about Burns as an opponent, Mokaev’s tone softened, but the message hit hard.

“I don’t know what to tell him. He’s been a good guy so far! He doesn’t seem like a bad guy,” he said with a smirk. “I want him to start, then I will finish it.”

It’s the kind of line that feels polite on the surface but lands like a warning.

At BRAVE CF 100, Muhammad Mokaev isn’t just fighting for a title. He’s fighting to remind the world that ‘The Punisher’ doesn’t need to talk his way into respect. He earns it when the cage door closes.

And this Friday in Bahrain, he plans to make sure Gerard Burns learns that lesson the hard way.
