Nkosi Ndebele vows to destroy Jose Torres in the main event of BRAVE CF 82

BRAVE CF Bantamweight world champion Nkosi Ndebele is gearing up for his first title defence at BRAVE CF 82 in Mauritius on May 11. Nkosi will be locking horns with his arch-rival Jose ‘Shorty’ Torres at the event in a historic trilogy fight and the South African is more than ready for the showdown.
Nkosi commenced his training camp at SOMA Fight Club in Indonesia well before the fight was announced and has been working alongside a long list of talented names at the gym including Eliezer Kubanza who will also be in action at BRAVE CF 82.
Having started his professional MMA career with BRAVE CF back in 2018, Nkosi has spent the entirety of his professional career in the most global MMA organization in the world and has built up a record of seven wins and two losses.
Nkosi’s journey to the Bantamweight throne has been nothing short of extraordinary and in a recent Instagram video from SOMA Fight Club, Nkosi reflected on his evolution as a fighter over the years.
“Nkosi now is seven times more than Nkosi in the first fight. Over the years, I have developed the hunger for it, I’ve enjoyed it more, you know. And now, the goal is even bigger and the improvement is even more. So, the only thing that I can say the difference is, the Nkosi now who is the champion, is seven times more than the first Nkosi, but the hunger is still the same,” Nkosi said.
Beyond showcasing his improvements inside the cage, the third fight against Jose Torres is a bit personal for Nkosi. This rivalry has shaped Nkosi’s career for nearly two years.
The South African proved a point in his second fight against Torres at BRAVE CF 80 by securing a third-round finish and now, Nkosi is planning to go a step further in the trilogy fight as he wants to ‘destroy’ Torres and end the rivalry.
“I am gonna hurt Shorty. I am gonna destroy him. Honestly, I know it is one thing but when I see or when I think about the match, I am gonna hurt Shorty and I am going to finish him, spectacularly. I am excited, man. That is all I can say. I am really excited,” Nkosi added.
Apart from the main event clash between Nkosi Ndebele and Jose Torres, BRAVE CF 82 boasts some exciting fights featuring talent from Africa and around the world. The co-main event will see Nicholas Hwende going up against Khurshed Nazarov in a fight which could potentially determine the next challenger for the Bantamweight title.
BRAVE CF 82 will be the debut event in Mauritius for BRAVE Combat Federation and will once again cement BRAVE CF’s position as the only international MMA organization to host events in the African continent.
